HIBERNIA - Omar Frank Mauk, 90, formerly of Marysville, died Thursday at Vencor of Sellersburg.

He was a native of Glasgow, Ky., a retired foundry worker for the old International Harvester Co. in Louisville and a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church in Marysville.

Survivors: a son, Frank Mauk; daughters Wanda Lynch, Sharon Fields and Sandy McCutcheon; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday, Garr, Sellersburg. Burial: Crown Hill Cemetery, New Washington. Visitation: noon-9 p.m. Sunday.

GEORGE L. MAUK PASSED AWAY AT CLARK MEMORIAL

MARYSVILLE -- George Louis Mauk, 62, died at 1 a.m., Wednesday, at Clark Co. Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville. He lived on Route 1 and was a retired employee of International Harvester. He was a member of Hibernia Christian Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lena Mauk; three sons, Raymond L. Mauk, Jeffersonville; Frank Mauk, Clarksville; and the Rev. Jasper Thomas Mauk, Charlestown; 2 daughters, Mrs. Francis Frazier, Clarksville and Mrs. Dorothy Graebe, Charlestown; a brother, Omar Frank Mauk, Jeffersonville; a half-brother, John Mauk, Cave City, Kentucky; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Burial at Walnut Ridge Cemetery, Jeffersonville.

New Chapel Church Cemetery is located at Watson in Utica Township, Clark County, Indiana. The adjacent church is at 5616 New Chapel Road

New Chapel was a Methodist Episcopal Church, probably the first Methodist church in the state, organized circa 1804, and is now a United Methodist Church. The congregation is an active one, known far and wide for its annual Sausage Supper, a community tradition for nearly 50 years. For the 1999 Supper, they butchered a number of hogs, preparing some 1,500 pounds of sausage with an accompanying amount of chops, ribs, etc.
