Know all men by these presents that we Hiram Boyd and Cyntha Boyd his wife of the County of Barren and State of Kentucky in moderate health but in right mind make this our last will and testament
1st we commet our souls to God who gave them and our bodies to the Earth from which it was taken
2nd that our just debts and funeral expenses be paid out of our personal property The remaining portion of it to be equally divided among all our children.
3rd That the land on which we now live to remain after our demise as a homestead for such of our children to live on as may be single at that time and to be a home for the unmarried portion of them so long as any two of them think proper to occupy it
If our children should think proper to break up housekeeping at any time our desire is that our youngest son Clement Boyd should be executor to this will provided he should be twenty one years old and also that Clement Boyd shall have the privilige of living on his portion of land though he should marry
