Guardianship Record of infant orphan of John Dunaway, decd. Sureties were provided by Samuel Anderson and Hiram Boyd. Dated May 20, 1839.
Barren County Kentucky Marriage Records:
Bond for marriage of Samuel Deweese toCharlotte Dunaway November 02, 1840
Know all men by these presents that we Samuel H Deweese
and Aquilla Dunaway
are held and firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of Kentucky
in the sum of fifty pounds to the payment of well and truly to be
made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, &c, jointly and severally, firmly
by these presents. Sealed with our seals and dated this 2nd
day of Novemebr 1840
The condition of the above obligation is such that where there is a marriage shortly
intended to be solemnized between the above bound Samuel H Deweese
and Charlotte Dunaway of this county. Now shall it always
hereafter appear, that there is no just cause to obstruct the said marriage then the above obligation to be void,
else to remain in full force and virtue

Transcription of the Deed from Heirs of David Deweese to Samuel H. Deweese
Boyd et al to Deweese
October 1852
This indenture witnesseth that Hirum Boyd and Cynthia Boyd his wife formerly Deweese-John Piper and Jincy Piper his wife formerly Deweese, Thomas McFelia and Zelphania McFeliah his wife formerly Deweese Rachel Ferguson formerly Deweese and her husband David Ferguson, Aquilla Dunaway and Mary Dunaway his wife formerly Deweese Holman Slayton and his wife Nancy Holman formerly Deweese and Cornelius H. Deweese children and heirs of David Deweese the late of Barren County Ky of the first part have sold and by these presents do sell and convey unto Samuel Deweese for two hundred dollars paid and secured to each of the heirs aforesaid all right interest and claim in and to the lands and personal estate of said David Deweese for his the Said Samuel Deweese to have and to hold the same forever and the party of the first part unto the said Samuel Deweese will each for themselves and thier heirs and all persons claiming under this or other of them warrant and defend the title to the said Samuel Deweese forever In Testamony whereof the partiy of the first part have hereunto set their hands and seals this 20th day of October 1852

I David Cockrill clerk of the County court for the County certify that this deed from Hirum Boyd et al to Samuel Deweese was on this 20th October 1852 acknowledged by Cornelius Deweese to be his act and deed and on the 1st Jany 1853 was acknowledged by Boyd to be his act and deed on this 16th day of September 1854 was acknowledged by H Boyd to be his act and deed and filed for record. __________ with this certificate have recorded in my office Given under my hand this 18th day ofSeptember 1854
