("Jincy", nee Jane Deweese, below, was daughter of David and Rhoda Chandler Deweese. We believe the census taker became a little carried away with the ditto marks as our understanding is that all children born to John and Jincy were born in Barren Co., Ky. Eldest daughters Lousia and Lucinda have already married and are no longer residing in the family home)

("Jincy", nee Jane Deweese, was daughter of David and Rhoda Chandler Deweese. We show a death date for husband John Piper of September of this year, and a death date for Jincy of February. By this census, enumerated on the 17th of July 1860, we believe the death dates passed to us are in error and further investigation is merited. Samuel Gooden, farm laborer residing in the Piper family home will soon marry Mary E. Dunaway, dau of Aquilla and Mary Deweese Dunaway, niece of Jincy, whose family relocated to the Marion/Jasper County Iowa area presumably together in the late 1850s)

(Jincie, below, nee Jane Deweese, is daughter of David and Rhoda Chandler Deweese. We are confounded to discover her living in this year since the death date we "all" have for her has been February of 1860! Can anyone shed any light on this "mystery"?)
