(Fannie, below, nee Fannie Elizabeth Deweese, was 3rd child and third daughter of John Tyler and Martha Richards Deweese, grand daughter of Samuel and Lottie Dunaway Deweese, great grand daughter of David and Rhoda Chandler Deweese. Fannie wed Newton Hale in 1898 and is recorded here with her young family. While son Clarence is recorded as born in 1888, age 11, in reality he was born 1898 and is age 1. Fannie will pass away before the next census record)

Our information prior to finding this census was that Fannie had passed away in 1906, but here she is, recorded alive and with more children than we had previously known about. The family has removed for as yet unknown reasons to Jackson County in southwestern Illinois, just across the border from Missouri)

While we have record of father Newton's death in 1919, it also appears mother Fannie has passed during the prior decade as well. The young brothres reside in this decade in the home of what appears to be a sister of thier father, now widowed, and her sons)
