Osceola Sentinel-March 1931
Stephen Henry Page, son of William & Rachel Page, was born in Clinton Co., Ohio Feb. 14, 1853 & departed this life March 13, 1931. He was married in Fulton Co., Illinois Oct. 22, 1874 to Caroline Richmond. He leaves to mourn his death 10 children, all of whom were at his bedside during the last hours, except John of Grandview, Washington. The other children are: Charles of Lucas; Ethel Snuggs of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; Amy Southward of Waukee, Iowa; Adith Jones of Lucas; Ida Mongar, Silas, Emery, George, and Merlin all of Osceola, Iowa. There are 53 grandchildren & 17 great grandchildren. The sisters living are: Mary Hale of Osceola; Margaret Barrett of Wayne, Nebraska; Stella Harless of Des Moines; and Rosa Woods of Topeka, Kansas. The brothers are: William Page of Pilger, Nebraska; James Page of Chillicothe, Missouri; and John Page of Osceola. He joined the Christian Church in Hermon, Illinois when 15 years of age. Funeral services were held from the Webster Funeral Home in Osceola, Rev. McCallon of the Church of Christ conducting. Burial was in the Osceola Cemetery.
