Mrs. Harver departed this life on Jan. 11, 1909. She was born in Clinton Co., Ohio Oct. 20, 1848 and was therefore 60 years of age. Her father, William Page, with whom she has had her home for some years is still living at the advanced age of 84 years. When she was but a child the family moved to Knox County, Illinois and she grew up there and was married there, and lived in that vicinity until 5 years ago when she moved to Osceola. She became a Christian at the age of 15 and remained firm in the faith until her death. She was married July 5, 1867 to George Harver who was a faithful minister of the Gospel, identified with the Disciples of Christ. To this union one son was born, but he died at the age of 7, and the husband passed to his reward July 2, 1903. Mrs. Harver was a faithful Christian, a good neighbor, and leaves behind a host of friends. The eldest of 14 children, she was the fourth to pass away. The surviving ones are: Mrs. Mary Hale and Mrs. Estella Harless of Osceola, Iowa; Mrs. Elizabeth Humphrey of Galesburg, Illinois; Mrs. Sarah Baughman of Avon, Nebraska; Mrs. Rosetta Simpson of San Bernardino, California; Stephen Page of Lucas, Iowa; John Page of Osceola; James Page of Clarence, Missouri; & William Page of Wisner, Nebraska. The funeral was conducted by O.M. Pennock at the home of M.D. Hale where she died. The body was taken to Monmouth, Illinois for interment.
