George W. Page, who had lived in Monmouth for some time, then had removed to Chicago, died as a result of injuries sustained by a fall from the third story of his home on Wentworth Avenue Nov. 12, 1902. Page was about 36 years old and had made his home here for some time with his sister, Mrs. George W. Harver. While living here he married Miss Lettie Todd, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Todd, and she survived him with four children. While living here he was a fireman in the Kingman plant for a time. He was a member of Company H for 3 years, and went with that company to the World's Fair in Chicago in 1892 & 1893. In Chicago he was a fireman in an electric plant in which W.W. McCullough of this city was interested, and later was fireman for the Edison company at Englewood. His remains were brought here for burial and his funeral was conducted by Rev. D.E. Hughes, the Odd Fellows also having charge at the grave.
