Mrs. Gertrude WOOLF and Vernie GLADIN of San Luis Obispo, California, both of whom were former residents of the Laredo, MO community, were married at 2:30 Saturday afternoon, according to word received by friends in Laredo and Galt today. The wedding took place at the home of the Rev. Frederick Hart in San Luis Obispo, a Presbyterian minister there. The single ring ceremony was read by the Rev. Mr. Hart in the presence of Floyd GLADIN, brother of the bridegroom, who acted as best man and Mrs. Gerald Rhodes, who was bridesmaid. Following the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Rhodes gave a party in honor of the newlyweds. They were taken to the Log Cabin Nite Club, where the wedding was announced and a song, "My Last Affair," was dedicated to them. Mr. Rhodes owns a paint business there and Mr. GLADIN has employment with him. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John F. ELLIOTT of four miles west of Laredo. She graduated from Laredo High School. Several months before going to California she had employment at Hart's Cafe here. The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Will SHANEY of north of Laredo. Before going to California he had employment operating a tractor on a road job.
