John C. BARR was born Aug. 25, 1859. He married in Grundy County, MO on Dec. 6, 1885 Asliey COTTNER (B. 1868, Died in Grundy County in 1947, daughter of Elizabeth (B. 1868, D. 1947) and John Cottner). John and Asliey lived in Laredo where he was custodian of Laredo schools for many years. John died Nov. 11, 1936. He and his wife are buried in Laredo Cemetery. Their children, in order, were Albert (90 years old at the time of his death, a resident of Maryville, MO), Melissa "Lissa" (White [who lived in Chillicothe, MO]), Robert N. (he lived in Kansas and was killed by falling from a machine while working a wheat field), Oren, Deano (who died in the Wadsworth Veterans Hospital in Kansas), and Curt (who lived in Chillicothe).
