Early Birds gathered Friday evening at the Sudbury Inn for supper. A delicious meal was served to the members present.
The Sudbury Inn is located at 151 Main Street in Bethel, ME.
Distance from Boston: 180 miles (about 3.5 to 4 hours driving time)
The Sudbury Inn is located in the foothills of the White Mountains, 5 miles from Sunday River Ski Area, in the beautiful New England village of Bethel, ME. The 17 room Inn was built in the 1870's.
Business Meeting at the Historical Society.
The genealogy swap and business meeting was held Saturday at the Bethel Historical Society. A light luncheon was be served. Saturday afternoon we toured the historical Society's exhibits and research library.
4:00 p.m. Sunset cruise on Lake Umbagog, a National Wildlife Refuge.
We had a van ride to the marina
(about 45 minutes away) and then cruised the lake where we looked for moose, bald eagles, and other wildlife. We returned to Bethel around 9:00 p.m.
