The Parish of Ahoghill
The parish of Ahoghill is bounded on the north by the parish of Craigs, on the west by the parishes of Portglenone and Ballyscullion, on the south by Drummaul and the east by Kirkinriola. Ahoghill Church of Ireland has baptisms, marriages and burials from 1811 onwards. I have only examined the burial records between 1811 and 1870, and found no “M” entries. The Moravian Church at Gracehill has an excellent collection of records dating from 1749 and what information I have found is given on this page. There are three Presbyterian Churches in Ahoghill, 1st, 2nd & 3rd Ahoghill. The earliest baptismal records start in 1835 for 2nd Ahoghill, followed by 1st Ahoghill from 1841 and 3rd Ahoghill (Trinity) from 1859. Marriages begin at 2nd Ahoghill in 1836, for 1st Ahoghill in 1841 and 3rd Ahoghill in 1845.
