Please send me your photos of both Stanley village views (past or present) and people who lived in Stanley. For reasons of privacy I would prefer photos to show only individuals no longer alive, although if a large group photo contains one or two people who may still be alive that would be acceptable - I can always refrain from naming them.

Photos should be sent to me as an e mail attachment, in jpg. format, with as small a file size as possible (certainly less than 50 kb), otherwise the web page takes too long to load. Alternatively, if you do not have a scanner and are happy to send your photographs through the post, please e mail me for my postal address. I will scan the photos and return them within a few days ( please note I cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage to photographs whilst in the care of the postal service, though I am happy to return them by registered post if you wish). I can also use good quality photocopies if you would prefer not to post the originals to me.

Please include as much of the following information as you can:

Name(s) of persons on photo (it doesn't matter if some of the people are unknown)

Where they fit into the scheme of things eg. when they were born, where they lived, etc.

Any anecdotes about them.
