*I got to know Aunt Irene quite well as often Daddy would go to Coolidge to get her and she would come for a week or two to visit my grandmother. I always found her a lot of fun to be around.

Obituary of Tommie (Vinson) Bunch
Collidge Herald 1943
Saved in my grandmother's scrapbook
MRS. CONNIE BUNCH BURIED TUES. AFTERNOON Funeral services were held here Tuesday afternoon at 4 p.m. for Mrs. Connie Bunch, who died very suddenly Monday afternoon, October 11th in a Coriscana Hospital. Rev. R.E. Briggs, assisted by the Rev. Robt. James conduted the services at the Methodist Church with internment following in the Armour cemetery under the direction of the McElroy Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bunch had been in ill health for many months past, but it was throught that she was greatly improved the past few weeks. In fact, she felt well enough to go for a visit in the home of Mr. Bunch's parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Bunch, Saturday afternoon and it was at their home when she became seriously ill Saturday night. Physicians were summoned and every possible thing was done to relieve her suffering but they were unsuccessful and she was then carried to a Coriscana Hospital Sunday afternoon where her condition gradually grew worse until her death ended her suffering on Monday.
Lorena Vinson was born July 15, 1914 in Coolidge and had spent the major portion of her life in and around this city. In early life she united with the Methodist Church and since that date she had devoted much of her time to the furthering of the Christian religion. On September 24, 1932 she was united in marriage to C.L. Bunch, and to this union one daughter, Linda Jean, was born, who with her daughter survive.
Other immediate relatives include four brothers, Marcus Vinson, Aubrey Vinson, Arthur Vinson, and Arch Vinson. Four sisters were Mrs. M.E. Kay, Mrs. E.C. Kay, Mrs. T.J. Harris, and Mrs. B.R. Davis of Coriscana.
Pallbearers were R.L. Bunch, Tom Dickinson, Herman Dowdle, H.S. Brooks, W.M. Blount, and Archie Patterson.
