-A deed of gift from James Denby to his grandchildren Jethro Bird,Susanna Bird, Bathsheba Bird, Mary Bird and Norfleet Bird, for love and affection and five shillings paid by Enos Bird for his said children, to Jethro Bird one negro boy called Essex; to Susanna Bird one negro girl called Judah; to Bathsheba Bird one negro girl called Milley, reserving the first child my negro girl Judah shall have for Norfleet Bird, and reserving the first child my negro girl Milley shall have for Mary Bird; also, reserving the actual labor of all the slaves and their increase to my daughter, Kezeiah Bird, and to my son-in-law, Enos Bird.

-James Walker and wife Christiana of Franklin Co., N.C., sold to Jacob Jones of Franklin Co., N.C., for a consideration of 130 pounds gold and silver, 320 acres on the North side of Tar River on both sides of Jumping Run, being part of a granville grant to Robert Moody in 1752, beginning at a white oak, thence West 160 poles to acorner Red Oak, thence South 320 poles along a line of marked trees to a branch called a dividing branch to Jumping Run, up another branch to the first Station.

-Witnesses:Josiahand Benjamin Eley. Book 11, page 26.

-NOTE: This is the same piece of land sold 10 Mar 1796 to his son, Council Jones, for a stated consideration of 100 pounds

-Signed by Jacob Jones with his mark.

-Agreement between Enos Byrd of Franklin County and Isabel Williford and her son David Williford of same. A parcel of two acres situatied on the main road between Parkers Cross road and Lewisburg out of a tract of land whereon, Mary Bird, mother of said Enos Byrd, now lives, bounded on the north by said road on south by a branch and corners on western end of Bonners old field and on the west by said Enos Birds land conveyed to said Isabel Williford as guardian for David Williford.
