"appears to have come from a bible record, it was on an old genealogy chart done many year ago by one Mary Ray, grand daughter of Allen Jones, Jr. and Sarah Osborne, after the death of Allen, Sarah lived in the home of her daughter Mary Jones Ray, the house later burned so if there was a bible it is no longer in existance. it reads, Father; Allen Jones, born June 15, 1792, Mother; Polly Jones, born Jan. 22, 1796, married October 11, 1811. Children; Susanna Jones, born March 23, 1813, Martha Jones, born May 14, 1816, Council Jones, born August 29, 1818, Jacobus S. Jones, born February 20, 1820, Elizabeth Jones, born November 14, 1821, James Allen Jones, born November 23, 1823, Frances Ann Jones, born July 5, 1827. We know the birthdates of Elizabeth and Allen Jr. to be correct. Allen Jr. named his fist son James Council, and his first daughter Martha Louise and the next son Jacobus S. so this has to be the same family . There is no record of death of Polly or the marriage to Martha."

Jacob Jones petitioned the March 1815 Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions, reciting that his father, Council Jones, departed this life on or about Mar 1805 after first making his last Will and Testament, wherein, among other things, he provided the tract of land whereon he then lived to his wife during her life, and after hear death to be equally parted between his four sons, Jacob, Allen, Council and James, and that his mother hath lately departed this life, whereby it becomes proper that the said land should be parted. Barbara (Jackson) Laughlin writes in July 2006:
The photos of Foster and Susan Jackson's tombstones were taken 4 years ago (2002). When we went back this year (2006), they were caved in and decaying. Mildred (Slocumb) Benton, a cousin, is in the Historical Society and is working to have the society restore stones in the cemetery. The Union Primitive Baptist Church and adjacent cemetery, is located in Uhland, AL, close to Phenix City. Our Jackson ancestors were some of the original founders and members. It is designated as a historical site and opens once per year. We were so fortunate to have been there the day it was open during our trip to meet the family for the first time. The church was filled with descendants of the co-founders and the service was followed by an old-fashioned family picnic. I took photos of the interior of the church which was very plain and stark, but beautifully preserved. It was difficult to imagine sitting in those conditions for hours listening to a "fire and brimstone" sermon.
