Middle name for William P
In early research of this family with Lois (Jobe) Cunningham about 1970, there was some discussion whether his middle name was Pryor or Preston and there was more evidence pointing to the middle name or Pryor - though nothing was ever proven for sure. Most of the descendnats have the name Preston - though we never did figure out where this name originated from. I just discovered that Martha Ann Azbell did have a brother named John Preston Azbell.
NATIVE HERITAGE for these descendants
- Elizabeth Ann McRoy
Though many claim that Elizbeth did have part native blood, I have not located where it came from, if in fact there is any. If so, I do believe it was l/16 or less.
- Alice Josephine (Staggs) Jobe - wife of son, Louis Peal Jobe
Though I haven't researched it thorough, it is claimed that BOTH of her parents were of Indian descent. Also many of their children intermarried with others of native descent.
- Several grandchildren did have spouses of native heritage. At this time, I haven't researched all of these claims.

JOB(E) LEGACY
Descendants of Andrew Job Jr
This part of my genealogy site is dedicated to a very good friend and fellow genealogist, Lois (Jobe) Cunningham who passed away in August 1982. Back around 1970, she lived in Dallas, Texas while I was living in Grand Prairie, Texas. We became great friends and met several times - at both of our houses.. Even after I moved to Canada, we remained in touch for several years. When I met Lois, she was in her mid 60's while I was in my late teens. She spent many hours at the Dallas and Tarrant County, Texas court houses copying records which she would eagerly share with me.
She and I also shared a genuine interest in poety.
