It is not sure at this time whether there was an actual marriage - but she is listed on the 1850 census as his wife and on a deed dated Jan 1, 1856 in Grayson Co., Texas as his wife. Meanwhile some of the children had moved to Texas with their father and others had remained with Sarah 'Sally', Mourning's sister.By the 1860 census, William is back in Missouri and now listed as a clergyman. Before he died, he and Sarah apparently got back together!
