He married Nancy McCrary, daughter of Boyd McCrary and Nancy Merrell in 1808 in Buncombe Co., NC. He married Susan Foreman on 18 Sep 1831 in Marion Co., Mo. He married Mary Ann McKay on 24 Aug 1837 in Marion Co., Mo. He and Mary Ann McKay appeared on the census of 1840 in Fabius Twp, Marion Co., Mo. He and Mary Ann were living in Dallas Co., TX in 1844. He died on 25 Dec 1849 in Dallas Co, TX. He was buried in Dec 1849 in Merrell Cemetery Dallas Co., TX.
