Jesse Jobe was born abt 1825 in Lawrence Co., Arkansas (present-day Oregon Co., Missouri). He married Susan Ann McIntire and had 2 children - Edy and Caleb. Both Jesse and Susan died while quite young and the children went to live with their uncle Elijah Jobe. Edy would also die as a young girl.
