Jeremiah Odle, s/o Elizabeth Job and Samuel Odle II, was born about 1771 probably Virginia and died about August 25, 1820. He married Margaret Evens about 1794 TN. This family appears on the 1802 Jackson Co., TN Tax list and 1810 Jackson Co., TN Census. They had apparently paid on over 400 acres of land in Overton Co TN and the deed was written after Jeremiah died. This land fell in Fentress Co when it was formed in 1823 and later in Pickett Co when it was formed. Descendants of this branch used the Odle spelling.
