THOMAS BOON IMMIGRANT DIED 1723 ISLE OF WIGHT CO., VIRGINIA AND 1000 OF HIS DESCENDANTS, written by Rupert Farnham Thompson in 1981, has nothing listed at all on the family of Willis Boon . He does show him to be a son of William Boon of Franklin Co., NC by an unknown first wife.Rupet does make a 'hint' that this Willis could be the one who made an an affidavit for pension as a revolutinary soldier in the October Court, 1820 at Edenton, NC. However, I rather doubt that this is this Willis. For one thing the one who made the affidavit states that he has no one living with him but his wife, an old woman. In 1820, Abigail would only have been in her early to mid 40's. Also the one who made the affidavit enlisted for 2 1/2 years in 1776 in North Carolina - while this Willis would have been a very young boy at this time. There are a couple of other possiblities for the Willis who did fight in the war.
Since Willis is executor of his father's will (William Boon 1799 Franklin Co., NC) and listed first in the will, I have to assume that Willis is his OLDEST child.

Abigail 'Abbagale' Unknown - Mother of His Children
We actually know very little about Abigail and her maiden name at this time is unknown. We know that she married Willis Boon about 1799 probably in the Franklin Co., NC area. In his will in 1840, Willis mentions his wife, Abigail. If you have any records or believe you have 'an idea' on the maiden name of Abigail, please write me Ann (Jobe) Brown. I have a very good knowledge of the early families of the Franklin Co., NC area and are related to many of them through my Boon, Denby, and Jones intermarriages.
