Jane Teschke's grandmother, Augusta Schwichtenberg Krause, is from Kashubian
ancestry. Great-grandmother Caroline Seils Schwichtenberg's Seils family dates
back to the 1600's in the parish records of Quackenberg, Kreis Stolp.
The Kashubian region is still in existence today between Slupsk (Stolp) and
Gdansk (Danzig) with over 1000 lakes in its region, known as the "Little
Swiss of Poland."
