2 October 1850 - His father Frederick, a labourer living in Dolphin Lane, Weston, made his mark when he registered his birth. His mother was shown as Matilda (birth certificate).
30 March 1851 - Aged 7 months, he was living with his parents Frederick, a labourer at a gas station aged 32, and Mary aged 35 and his siblings James aged 10, Selina aged 8, Emma aged 6, and Edwin aged 3 in Branskill Lane, Weston, Bath (see 1851 census).
7 April 1861 - He was a scholar aged 11 living in Blue Lodge Gardens, Walcot, Bath, with his parents Frederick and Mary, and his siblings James aged 20, Selina aged 10, Emma aged 15, Edwin aged 13, Frank aged 7, Elizabeth aged 6 and Hester aged 4 (see 1861 census).

26 August 1930 - He was present at the death of his wife at their home 31 Triangle, Bath. He advised the registrar of her death the same day (EA's death certificate).

2 April 1871 - He was a mason aged 23 boarding with William and Ann Gadd and family at 9 Maslin St, St Andrews, Plymouth (see 1871 census).

23 November 1899 - A G Nettlingham won numerous prizes in the Hastings Horticultural Society Spring Show held in the Pincess Theatre. He was gardener to the Honourable J D Ormond (see Hawke’s Bay Herald dated 23 November 1899).

21 November 1900 - A G Nettlingham won numerous prizes in the 3rd Hastings Horticultural Society Spring Show. He was gardener to the Honourable J D Ormond (see Hawke’s Bay Herald dated 22 November 1900).
22 November 1900 - He was awarded a championship medal by the Hastings Horticultural Society (see Hawke’s Bay Herals dated 23 November 1900).
22 April 1903 - He won prizes for vegetables in the Hawke’s Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Society’s 2nd Autumn Show (see Otago Witness dated 29 April 1903).
1920 - Their daughter Nellie married Francis Arthur Elliott in New Zealand (NZ FMD on-line ref 1920/9401).

Probate was granted to her sons Joseph Thomas Shobbrook and William Henry Shobbrook, and Henry Charles Cyril Lee, a solicitor from Bath. Her estate was valued at £2584 8s 4d (gross) and £2140 9s 4d (net). She left bequests to her son William Henry Shobbrook (the tea set given to her by her late daughter), her granddaughter Ivy Frances Shobbrook (her piano and piano stool), her grandson Ronald Shobbrook (her chest of tools), her daughter in law Carrie Shobbrook (her mangle), and her son Ernest John Shobbrook (£300). The balance of her estate was to be sold and all remaining monies split equally between her children (see probate and will).
6 May 1932 - “Re Frances Shobbrook, deceased. Pursuant to the Trustees Act, 1925 (as amended). 3 April 1881 - He was a scholar aged 15 living at 10 De Crespigny Terrace, Champion Park, Camberwell, Surrey with his mother Frances aged 34, grandmother Elizabeth Eve, a widow aged 70, his siblings Lizzie F aged 13 and Frank E aged 11, Ferdinand L Hardy, a lodger, and Emily Seymour, a servant (see 1881 census).
5 April 1891 - He was a clerk aged 25 living at 10 Crespigny Terrace, Camberwell, with his widowed grandmother Elizabeth Eve aged 80, his widowed mother Frances Gaffney aged 44, his siblings Lizzie F, a school governess aged 22 and Frank E, a clerk aged 21, Clara Hollick, a visitor, and Emily Seymour, a domestic servant (see 1891 census).
25 April 1898 - He was an insurance superintendent aged 30 from St Martin's, Birmingham when he married Sarah Shobbrook in the parish church at Exbourne (marriage certificate).
December qtr 1898 - The birth of a Frank Gaffney was registered in Lambeth (GRO ref 1d 507).
31 March 1901 - He was a superintendent of life assurance aged 35 living at 6a Bradsing Rd, Lambeth, with his wife Sarah, and children Violet M, aged 4, and Frank, aged 2 (see 1901 census).
2 April 1911- He was an assurance agent aged 45 living with is wife Sarah and their daughter Violet at 59 Medora Rd, Brixton Hill, London (see 1911 census and table above).

Known child/children - Violet May and Frank.
