In the name of God Amen I Mary Pitts of Luckington in the County of Wilts Widdow being weake of body but of sound and perfect mind and memory praise be unto God I do make and ordaine this my present last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say; ffirst and principally I commend my soule into the hands of All Mighty God hoping through the merits Death and passion of My Saviour Jesus Christ to have full and free pardon and for giveness of all my sins and to Inherit ever Lasting life and my body I commit to the yearth to be Decently buryed as at the Discretion of My Executor here after named and as xxxxing the Disposission of All such temporall Estate as it hath pleased Allmighty God to be stow upon me I Give and Dispose there of as followeth that is to say
Ffirst I Will that all my Debts and ffunerall Charges shall be paid and dis Charged
Item I Give and bequit unto my Cosen Ffrancis Boye my Executor hereafter named son William Boye in my best Chammer two beads one ffether bead a long boulster two short yooles and a yard of my best sheets & my sick (?) yeallow Condlled (?) * one branched Condlled (?) & a xxxxx at the beads foot and all the Chaiers; and a jar to warm board & a press and a xxxxxx and my Grate Looking Glas and a fform by the beadside and three brainshed Coshing of one sort; and onr Grate Crosh and Grate xxxx and torn Driying pan and Grate bras pan & a Doxxxx and Salting iron & two best yoole Drawer & a stand and a Glas Shelfe with all in him & a chair that turn Down & the best joyn Chair & my Grate bible & one blancott & the xxsting for that born sound with xxxxx
Item I Give & bequit unto my Sister Hester Boye son Simon Boye Twenty Pound of Lawfull mony to be paid by my Executor hereafter hereafter (sic) named within three months after my decease & if it is not paid: then I Give my little Lease at Longdon in Luckington a fore said for he to keep and greatly enjoy him unto the mony is paid
Item I Give and be quit unto m y Sister Hester Boye Late Deceased son Joseph Boye Sixty Pounds of Lawfull mony and unto her daughter Hester Bristow ffifty Shillings of Lawfull mony and unto her Daughter Mary Burnley ffifty shillings of Lawfull mony to be paid every year as Long as the said Hester Bristow and mary Burnly do live after my decease and when either of them shall diy her part shall remain and be paid unto the other as long as she shall live and the said sixty pounds unto her son Joseph Boye a fore said to be paid with in three month after my Decease all of which the said somes shall be paid by my Executor here after named and if he do not pay the said sixty pound to Joseph and the said ffifty shillings a year to hester Bristow and Mary Burnly as Long as they do Live and as it is a fore said then I do Give my ffour Grounds called Downs unto the said Joseph Boye until his said mony is paid and unto the said Hester Bristow and Mary Burnly as long as they do live if their mony is not paid them yearly and as it is mentioned; all of the grounds of Leases Laying and being in Luckington a fore said for them and every of them to Love & Enjoy all of the said ffour Grounds until the said severall somes here by Given to them shall be paid & Discharged and that nither of them shall have any more power (?) then the other to lett it but one with the other to lett and lett it and equally Divid the Rent or profit between them according to the somes Given to them and if Ither of them shall stand of and will not agree with them then he shall Loos it and pay the other their part of it according to the outside value that ever it was lett at and if Ither of them shall xxxx or cause to be xxxxed any of the said Grounds without the consent of every one of them then he shall lose the profit of his or part for the term of seven yeares and have nothing to do with it and at the end of the term of seven years he or she shall xxx in for their part if they had not xxxxx and nither of them shall cut or fell any of the trees but to Repair the bounds with out any xxxast xxxxx as it is mentioned here after and I Give unto my Coson Joseph Boye a fore said one bead in the Corkloft one Long yoole (?) to short yooles (?) one yard of sheets one yard of blanket (?) one rood xxxxxx one settle one Chair two Coushing and the mixxxx Crook and the table bord and stole (?) in the Closett and Coffer in the Closett and one spoot (?) and one spoot (?) and Latting (?) Driying pan and my warming pan and a yard of Andiers (?) and a ffire pan and tongs and to pewter platters and a skillet and xxster beadsatead in the outer Corkloft with all the things be longing to him and a skimmer (?) and a Close Stole and I Give free liberty with in twenty years after my Decease with out the lett troble Interruption of my Heirs Executors of Assigns or any other parson claiming any right title in to my Estate in Luckington a fore said and bring workmen and xxx any number (?) or xxxx to mend or hold his house commonly called Collencer house or to bild any more housing there and to com in with a plan to xxxh it of a reasonable time of the year and I Give unto my Cosin Hester Bristow a fore said all that messuage or tenement commonly called Gingell house with the Garden adjoining to the messuage or tenement being in Luckington a fore said and ffour Leag and a quarter from the Garden Wall by the street a long Close called Clarks hill and ffour Leag and a quarter from the est end of the Garden wall by a Close called Witherres Close and from there to the oyyer end of the ffour Long and a quarter by the Stret be it a quarter of xxxxx more or less unto the said Hester Bristow and her oldest Son and Second Son or oldest Daughter and Second Daughter if she have any children for and during the hole term of ffour score and nineteen years if Ither of them shall happen so long to live after my Decease and halfe of my wearing Close lining and woollen and halfe of my household Good brass and pewter and silver Chains Corken (?) and a Cross xxxx of Gould and I Give unto my Cosen the a fore said Mary Burnley all that messuage or tenement Garden backside barkon (?) out houses Called banes and where in now one William Band liveth in Luckington a fore said unto the said Mary Burnley and her eldest Son a nd second Son or Eldest Daughter and Secon Daughter for and during the hole term of ffour score years and Ninteen years if she have Children if Ither of them shall happen so Long to live after my Decease and the said William Band Decease and halfe of my Wearing Close lining and woollen and halfe of my household Good brass and pewter and my Gold Ring and Silver Spoon and Thimble and my Chest of Drawers
Item I Give and be quit unto my Cosen Christopher Young Hester Young and Mary Young halfe a Crown ay (?) one to paid by my Executor hereafter named
Item I Give and be quit unto my Sister Hester Boye Late Deceased Son John Boye Late Deceased his Wife Sarah Counson halfe a crown of Lawfull money to be paid by my Executor here after named with in six months after my Decease
Item I Give and be quit unto my Maid Joan Warrant twenty shillings of Lawfull Money to be paid by my Executor here after named if she do live with me at my Decease
Item I Give and be quit unto my Brother Law Samuell Pitts Son Samuel the Colbord that did stand in the hall at the floor
Item I Give and be quit unto the poore of Luckington Ten Shillings and unto poore ffrinds Ten shillings to be Distributed at my Executors Discretion
Item All the Rest and Residue of all my parsonall Estate Good Chattells whatsoever I do Give and be quit unto my Sister Hester Boye Late deceased Son Ffrances Boye full and Sole Executor of this my present Last Will and Testament and I do here by Revoke Disanul and make voyd all former Wills and Testaments here to fore made by me in Witness where of to this my present Last Will and testament I the said Mary Pitts have Interchaingable Sett my hand and seal the 6 day of March in the thirteenth yeare of the Reaign of our Souveraign Lord William the Third by the grace of God King of England Scotland Ffrance and Ireland xx Anno Domini 1700/01

He Ffrancis Boye the xxxxxx and Executor of the last will and Testament of Mary Pitts Widow of Luckington hereto xxx of (both and the denomination & xxx xxxx of Quaker) doe solemly in the name (?) of Almighty God & before you lawfully hereto authorized xxxxxxxx and xxxxxx that the paper (?) xxxxxx hereto xxxxxx is the last Will and Testament of the aforesaid Maty Pitts as far as I know believe or have heard (?); And that I will faithfully Execute & performe the same Will by discharging debts and Legacies in the same given as farr as her goods & I shall xxxxx & the Law charge more (?)
