In the name of god amen 1617 the 22 day of January I Elizabeth Pitt of Brokenborough being sick of body but of perfect remembrance thanks be to god doe leave make & ordain my testament wherein is contained my last will in manner & form following
First I bequeath my Soule to god that gave it & my body to the earth
Item I give unto my sonn John Pitt half of the goods that I have at my decease
Item all of the rest of my goods ungiven & unbequeathed both moveable & unmoveable & all that my husband left me by his will & testament and all that it have increased since or shall increase during my lyfe I give unto my sonn Thomas Pitt whom I make my whole & sole executor for to see my body buryed & my debts payed
