THE WILL OF ROBERT CROOME OF BROKENBOROUGH

DATED 29 APRIL 1722

In the name of god amen Robert Croome of the parish of Brokenborough in the County of Wilts Being sick and weak of body but of sound and perfect mind and memory (praised be God) doth make and Ordaine this my last Will and Testament in manner as ffolloweth (viz)
Imprimis I give bequeath my soul into the hands of God that gave it And as for my Body I commit to the Earth to be Buried in Christian like manner hopeing through the merrits of our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ I shall have a full and free pardon of all my sins
And as for such goods and Chattels as the Lord hath bestowed upon me I give and dispose of as followeth That is to say after my Debts are discharged and my funeral Exenses paid I give and bequeath unto my daughter Rebecca Garlick Three pounds to be paid att the end of two years next after my decease And also I give unto Richard Garlick (her husband) five shillings
Item as for the Rest and Remainder of all my Stock Goods Chattels Moneys Bills Bonds Whatsoever and Wheresoever at the time of my Death I shall have Title to or Interest in I give and bequeath unto my Beloved Wife Elizabeth Croome to mannage such goods and Effects as I (s)hall leave her possessed with all during her Life And after her decease unto my daughter Elizabeth Croome by such parts or portions and att such time and times as her mother shall think proper and Convenient for her
And I do hereby Constitute Ordain and Appoint and make my Beloved Wife Executrix of this my last Will and Testament And I do hereby Disannul and make void all other Wills and Bequests heretofore by me made and doth declare this to be my Last Will and Testament In witness whereof I have hereto Sett my hand and seal this twenty ninth day of April Annoq Dom 1722
