DAVID PARRY (son of David and Elizabeth Parry)
28 August 1841 - He was born at Coledge, Llanfair-ar-y-bryn, Carmarthenshire (birth certificate).
30 March 1851 - He was a scholar, aged 9, living with his parents and brother at Pentre-ty-gwyn, Llanfair-ar-y-bryn, Carmarthenshire (1851 census transcription).
26 December 1865 - He was a tailor aged 24 living in Mary Ann St, Dowlais when he married Rachel Lewis at Carsalem Baptist Chapel, Dowlais, (marriage certificate).
12 October 1866 - He was a tailor living at 3 Castle St, Dowlais when their son David Benjamin was born (DBP's birth certificate).
2 April 1871 - He was a tailor aged 29 living with his wife Rachel and their son D B aged 4 at 6 Elizabeth St, Dowlais (see 1871 census).
3 April 1881 - He was a journeyman tailor aged 38 living with his wife Rachel and son David Benjamin, an apprentice tailor aged 14 at 60 Wind St, Aberdare, Glamorgan (see 1881 census).
6 April 1890 - He was a tailor when he witnessed the marriage of his son David Benjamin and Mary Anne Williams which took place in Ynystwyd Baptist Chapel, Aberaman, Aberdare. He signed the register (DBP/MAW's marriage certificate).
5 April 1891 - He was a tailor aged 48 living with his wife Rachel at 60 Wind St, Aberdare along with Thomas Powell and Arthur Stradling who were both boarders. He spoke both English and Welsh (see 1891 census)
31 March 1901 - He was a tailor (worker) aged 59 living at 60 Wind St with his wife Rachel. He was born in Pentretygwyn and spoke Welsh. A George and Sarah Anne Callaghan were living at the same address (see 1901 census).
17 April 1907 - He was a journeyman tailor when he died, aged 64, at 60 Wind St, Aberdare, of acute bronchitis (death certificate).
18 April 1907 - Benjamin Davies, his nephew, also of 60 Wind St, Aberdare, notified the registrar of his death (death certificate).
He was buried in plot V29/2 of Aberdare New Cemetery (Burial Services, Cynon Valley District Council 9/00).

RACHEL PARRY (NÉE LEWIS) (daughter of Benjamin Lewis)
C 1844 - She was born at Hirwaun, Glamorgan.
30 March 1851 - She was a scholar aged 7 living in Hirwaun village with her parents, Benjamin, a tailor, and Elizabeth, and siblings Jane aged 3 and Elizabeth aged 5 months, and two lodgers. She was shown as being born in Aberdare (see 1851 census).
7 April 1861 - Aged 18, she was living in Hirwaun, Aberdare with her parents Benjamin, a tailor aged 43, and Elizabeth aged 42, her siblings Elizabeth aged 11, William aged 9, and Sarah Ann aged 11 months, and Henry Morgan a tailor and John Jones a visitor (see 1861 census).
26 December 1865 - She was a spinster aged 23 living in Hirwaun, Aberdare when she married David Parry in Carsalem Baptist Chapel Dowlais (marriage certificate).
2 April 1871 - Aged 27, she was living with her husband David and their son D B at 6 Elizabeth St, Dowlais (see 1871 census).
3 April 1881 - Aged 37, she was living with her husband and son at 60 Wind St, Aberdare (see 1881 census).
5 April 1891 - Aged 47, she was living with her husband David and two boarders at 60 Wind St, Aberdare, Glamorgan. She spoke both English and Welsh (1891 census transcription).
31 March 1901 - Aged 57, she was living at 60 Wind St, Aberdare with her husband David. She was born in Hirwaun and spoke Welsh. A George and Sarah Anne Callaghan were living at the same address (see 1901 census).
30 October 1906 - She died, aged 63, in the Union Workhouse at Merthyr Tydfil, Glamorgan, of rheumatoid arthritis, bed sores and exhaustion. (death certificate).
31 October 1906 - Her nephew Ben Davies reported her death to the registrar (death certificate).
She was buried in plot V29/2 of Aberdare New Cemetery (Burial Services, Cynon Valley District Council 9/00).
JENKIN PARRY (son of David and Elizabeth Parry)
C 1845/46 - He was born in Llanfair ar y bryn (near Llandovery), Carmarthenshire (see 1861 census).
7 April 1861 - He was a tailor aged 15 living with his parents David and Elizabeth, and Elizabeth Rees in Pentre ty gwyn, Llanfairarybryn (see 1861 census).
2 August 1869 - He was a bachelor, aged 24, a journeyman tailor and lived at Mount Pleasant Street, Pontypool when he married Elizabeth Pothecary at Newport, Monmouthshire, Register Office. His father David was a farm labourer. The witnesses at their wedding were William Williams and Elizabeth's married sister Mary Ann Gunston (marriage certificate).
29 June 1870 - He was a tailor living at Barrack Hill, Newport, St Woollos, where their son William was born (W P's birth certificate).
2 April 1871 - He was a tailor aged 26 living at 31 West St, Newport with his wife Elizabeth and son William (1871 census index transcription from Angela DeRoy-Jones 1/5/01).
22 March 1872 - He was a tailor living at 16 Blewitt Street, Newport, St Woollos, when his daughter Elizabeth Sarah was born (ESP's birth certificate).
27 December 1873 - He was an insurance collector living at 20 Griffith St, Aberdare when his son David was born (DP's birth certificate).
27 December 1875 - He was an insurance collector living at 11 Griffith St, Aberdare, when his daughter Alice Gertrude was born (AG's birth certificate).
25 November 1876 - He was a collector living at 2 Upper Regent St, Aberdare, when he was present at the death of his daughter Alice Gertrude (AG's death certificate).
27 November 1876 - He notified the registrar of the death of his daughter Alice Gertrude (AG's death certificate).
15 November 1877 - He was an insurance agent living at 3 Lewis Place, Aberdare when his daughter Alice Margaret was born (AMP's birth certificate).
30 April 1880 - He was living at 108 Cemetery Rd, Cwmdare, Aberdare when his daughter Rosa Jane was born (RJP's birth certificate).

3 April 1881 - He was an insurance agent aged 36 living at 108 Cemetery Rd, Cwmdare, Aberdare, with his wife Elizabeth and children William, Elizabeth, David, Alice M and Rosa J, and a boarder, Evan Bowen, aged 36, an insurance collector (see 1881 census).
14 June 1882 - He was living at the same address when Ethel Winifred was born (EWP's birth certificate).
14 January 1884 - He was living at 9 Mount Pleasant, Aberdare when he notified the registrar of the death of his daughter Alice Margaret. He had been present at her death (AMP's death certificate).
1 December 1884 - He was a witness to the wedding of his brother-in-law John Pothecary to Mary Jane Smith, which took place in the Siloa Chapel, Aberdare. John was living with him at 9 Mount Pleasant Street, Trecynon at the time of the wedding JP's marriage certificate).
13 March 1885 - He was living at 9 Mount Pleasant, Aberdare when his son Thomas Oswell was born (TOP's birth certificate).
3 January 1888 - He was living at the same address when his son Reginald was born (RP's birth certificate).
5 April 1891 - He was a Welsh speaking insurance agent aged 46 living at 3 Wetheral St, Aberdare with his wife Elizabeth and children E Sarah, Rosa Jane, Ethel W, Thomas and Reginald, W.J. Davis, a boarder, and Sylia James, a domestic servant (see 1891 census).
29 May 1892 - He was a witness to the wedding of his sister-in-law Rosa Pothecary to William Spurgeon John in the Carmel Baptist Chapel, Monk St, Aberdare (RP's marriage certificate).
1895 - He was an insurance agent living at 3 Wetherall St, Aberdare (see page 50 of the 1895 edition of Kelly's Directory of Monmouthshire and South Wales).
31 March 1901 - He was an insurance agent aged 56 living at 24 Dean St, Aberdare, with his wife Elizabeth and their children Rosa J, Ethel W and Reginald, their daughter-in-law Margaret and their grand-daughter Ethel W. He could speak both English and Welsh (see 1901 census).
7 October 1905 - He was a Prudential Industrial Life Assurance agent when he witnessed the wedding of his daughter Rose to Edwin Jackman in Trinity Chapel, Weatheral St, Aberdare (EJ/RP's marriage certificate).
25 August 1909 - He was an insurance agent, aged 64, when he died at 8 Duke St, Aberdare of a cerebral haemorrhage 1 year 8 months (death certificate).
25 August 1909 - His son R Parry notified the registrar of his death (death certificate).
He was buried in plot D17/9 in the old cemetery, Aberdare.

2 April 1871 - She was aged 22 and living at 21 West St, Newport with her husband Jenkin and son William (1871 census index transcription from Angela DeRoy-Jones 1/5/01).
3 April 1881 - Aged 32, she was living at 108 Cemetery Rd, Aberdare with her husband and children (see 1881 census).
