6 January 1728 - He was a carpenter from Timberscombe when he began the ninety nine year lease of a tenement and mills in Timberscombe known as Bridge Mead consisting of a dwelling house, outhouses, greist mill, fulling mill and one meadow containing about three acres, along with the water and water courses that ran from Timbersford to Cowbridge. Timber and metals were excluded from the lease. His sister Mary was mentioned in the lease. The yearly rent was £1-6s-8d payable quarterly. He was responsible for the upkeep and repair of the property (see indenture).

29 September 1760 - He commenced a ninety nine year lease, along with his married sisters Joan Glass and Jane Court, of Leighs Tenement in Timberscombe, which included houses, outhouses, lofts, courtlages, orchards, gardens, meadows, pastures and watercourses. He leased it from Paul Orchard who was from Stoke, Devon. It cost an initial £201 and the rent was 6/- per annum (see indenture).
7 November 1760 -He was aged 18 when he signed and sealed the lease for Leighs Tenement (see indenture).

7 November 1859 - He died in Chew Stoke aged 80 years of softening of the brain and paralysis - 3 years (death certificate). "Chew Stoke - Death of an old inhabitant - On Sunday most of the yeoman, farmers and other respectable persons of the village, assembled to pay a last mark of respect to the late Mr William Mudon, timber dealer and gun-stock cutter. He had been a great traveller, and had cut gun-stocks for the army under the reigns of the last three Kings and our present Queen. He was well-known and respected throughout Somerset and adjoining counties, as well as in Birmingham and London. Although Mr Mudon was in his 81st year, he did not look more than fifty, and had not a gray hair on his head. He was followed to the grave by his widow, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren" (see The Bristol Mercury and Western Counties Advertiser dated Saturday November 19, 1859).

Saturday 29 January 1894 - The following notice appeared in the Bristol Mercury: - “Miss Sarah Wines, formerly of Bedminster, will hear of something interesting from James Mudon, 70, Oxford St, St Philip’s, Bristol (see newspaper).
Saturday 11 August 1894 - He gave evidence in Temple Cloud County Court befoe His Honour Judge Callard in a case of alleged serious trespass on land in Chew Stoke in which Mrs Victoria Norton Walker, a widow, of Whitehall Farm, Chew Stoke, sued John Henry Weaver for the sum of £15 damages. James Mudon, carpenter, stated that the damage done to the gates etc was about £1 5s (see newspaper dated Monday 13 August 1894).
30 March 1901 - He was a widower and a former gun stock cutter aged 76 living at 70 Oxford St, St Philip and Jacob, Bristol, with his "feeble minded" son John (see 1901 census).
2 April 1911 - Aged 86, he was living in Bristol (Official 1911 census web-site).

She signed the register. The witnesses were Elizabeth Ann Parry and Edwin Samuel George Heskins (marriage certificate). (NB Frederick was the brother of her step-father Arthur Hitchings).
