Eller, immigrant. It has not been proven, but researchers think this Henry Eller
is the Henry Eller that came to America on the ship "Neptune" from
Rotterdam. He took oath of allegiance in Pennsylvania Oct. 25, 1746. He is believed
also to be the brother of George Michael Eller. They both acquired land called
Hammond Strife on the waters of Little Pipe "Creek in Frederick Co., MD.
They are also believed to have belonged to the Church of the Brethern, sometimes
called "Dunkers" or "Dunkards". This sect is believed to
have formed from the German Baptist Brethern which started in Germany and was
brought to Germantown, PA. about 1719. This imformation comes from the book -
George Michael Eller and Descendants of his in America, compiled by James W.
Hook of New Haven, Conn. and published Oct. 15, 1957. Pages 11, 12, 13 &
14 includes information on Henry Eller. Balance of the book pertains to George
Michael Eller & his descendants. However, there is some mention of Henry's.

Daniel Eller 1 Male 60-70 1 Female 70-80 1 Female 10-15
I find this strange, Male 60-70 and Female 70-80, (maybe this should be 50-60)
with a daughter 10-15, If this is Daniel and Hannah, then Hannah would have been
at least 55 when this child was born, who's child could it be? or is Hannah's
age wrong, this shows her as about 10 years older than Daniel, but the 1850
census reports show Hannah as 70 and Daniel as 81, 11 years younger than Daniel.
??? She cannot be that much younger than Daniel as she was his wife in Henry's
will, Henry died in 1788, when Daniel was about 19 {ADE}).

49. Diane Eller Price. corrections & additions for my
WEB Page. April 27, 2000. I remember my grandfather Alfred as a generous man
and always willing to play
with his grandkids instead of tending to chores. He loved to play cards and
we would let him win. He traveled to his children's home till he was about
95. He would spend winters with each of them for a few weeks at a time then
go to the next one. He worked his farm in the summer till he was about 94.
He came home that summer and decided it was time to give up his farm. Many
years earlier he gave the town of Simms some property across the street from
his home and they built a high school on it. This is where my father
graduated. He grew wheat and potatoes. My father remembers working in the
potato sheds and sorting potatoes as a boy.
50. Ibid. Alfred knew that he was illegimate and told no one
of
this until a few months before his death. He told my aunt but she already
knew from other sources. There was a rumor that his father was a married
man but who knows if this is true.
