SECOND GENERATION

9. Daniel ELLER was born about 1769 in Frederick Co. MD.. He appeared on the census in 1790 in Frederick Co., MD.(7) He appeared on the census in 1830 in Menhallen Twp.,Fayette Co., PA. (8) He appeared on the census in 1850 in Brown Twp., Ripley Co., IN. (9) He died between 1850 and 1856 in Indiana.
The 1790 Census of Frederick Co. Md seems to show Daniel living with his mother along with Peter. "one son 16 upwards (Daniel?) and one son under 16 (Peter?)
(per Clarice V. Stanley, THE ELLER CHRONICLES Vol VIII-2 MAY 1994)

(Per Edith D Lyle, 15900 E 45th Street PL, Independence, MO 64055)
PIONEER FAMILIES OF MISOURI, p 398 (vol IV-3 TEC p.125)
"Jacob, Joseph, & Daniel Eller were born & raised in MD." Then she goes on to tell about Jacob, no more about Joseph or Daniel. Were they also in Misouri at that time?? Daniel, at least seems to be lost between the 1790 and 1830 census.

1830 census of Menhallen Twp.,Fayette Co., PA (per Clarice V Stanley)
Daniel Eller 1 Male 60-70 1 Female 70-80 1 Female 10-15

I find this strange, Male 60-70 and Female 70-80, (maybe this should be 50-60) with a daughter 10-15, If this is Daniel and Hannah, then Hannah would have been at least 55 when this child was born, who's child could it be? or is Hannah's age wrong, this shows her as about 10 years older than Daniel, but the 1850 census reports show Hannah as 70 and Daniel as 81, 11 years younger than Daniel. ??? She cannot be that much younger than Daniel as she was his wife in Henry's will, Henry died in 1788, when Daniel was about 19 {ADE})

Another Daniel and a Peter listed as living in Redstone Twp. Fayette Co., PA in 1830.
It is quite likely that both the younger Ellers are sons of the older Daniel. There seems to be no definate connection yet, between the younger Daniel and either of the other two.

No record has been located listing Daniel's children or heirs. No will was left. On the 1850 Census of Indiana, he was shown as living with his son, Peter, at the age of 81. He probably died in Indiana sometime during the next few years.
( Neither Daniel nor his wife Hannah are listed in the Peter Eller household in the 1856 Iowa census. I therefore conclude both died between 1850 & 1856, and after their deaths, Peter moved to Iowa. {ADE} )

He was married to Hannah -?- ELLER about 1787. Daniel and his wife Hannah were mentioned in his father's, Henry's, will. Henry died in 1788 so their wedding had to be early 1788 or before. Hannah -?- ELLER was born about 1760 in NJ. She died after 1850 in Indiana. Daniel ELLER and Hannah -?- ELLER had the following children:

child+45 i. Daniel ELLER.
child+46 ii. Peter ELLER.
