Mattie Doggett, was my great grandmother. I was 8 years old when she died and I do remember her. She was a sweet lady and loved to fish. I remember her with an old straw hat and a cane pole heading for the river to fish. She outlived three husbands and raised seven children. She had many hardships, but her faith in the Lord saw her through it all.
