O. THOMAS BOOTH

O. Thomas Booth, 86, of 3622 Stamper Drive, husband of Effie Walters Booth, died at approximately 3 a.m. Saturday at his home. A native of Wolfe County, he was the son of the late Roby and Florence Perry Booth. He was a retired deputy director of the Lexington Bluegrass Army Depot, a member of Masonic Lodge No. 20, the Northside Baptist Church. Additional survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Robert C. and Bernice Booth, Winchester; three grandchildren, Robert M. Booth and Marty Hobbs, Lexington, and Gina Walker, Winchester; five great-grandchildren, Ryan M. Booth, Rachel A. Booth, Tiffany Jordan, Felicia Davidson and Jessica Hobbs. Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Scobee Funeral Home by Rev. Jesse Cline. Burial will be in the Winchester Cemetery. Pallbearers will be William Q. Stacy, Carl Kohlbecker, Richard Garrett, Otis Henry, Billy Thomas, Vernon Gibbs,; honorary, Paul Dunn, R. B. Omohundro. Garrett Brown, Dallas Abney and Donnie Booth. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. today with Masonic services at 7:30 p.m. today. Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Northside Baptist Church, Winn Avenue.


Orville Abner

  Orville Abner, 65, of Adams Lane, the husband of Joan Davidson Abner and the father of James Paul Abner, passed away peacefully Friday afternoon, March 24, 2006, with his family at his side. He was a retired employee of IBM and a former instructor at Lexington Community College. He was a member of the board of directors of The Members Heritage Federal Credit Union. Services 11 am Tuesday at The First Baptist Church, 425 Eastern By-Pass, Richmond. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Monday at the church. Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home in charge.
