Indexing Project

The object of the is to provide an on-line index of the 194,815 burials that took place in this cemetary from 1840 to 1978. There have also been a small number of burials since that time in family sites.

This site will monitor the progress of this project. It will begin to give access to the information transcribed, and provide a look-up service for off line research.

The next section gives a list of the surnames than have been entered so far. It will be updated regularly as more data is entered.

This list also provides a Research Request facility where additional information on a gravesite may be obtained.

The project has been divided into eight (8) sections for ease. The definition and status (as of 23 AUG 2000) of each section is as follows:-
