Thanks for an excellent service! I hope more genealogical resources follow your lead. I was amazed to find a LUCKSTONE because I thought that was a name invented by a branch of the family after they emigrated to the U.S. I'd been told all the UK ancestors were called GLUCKSTEIN or GLUCKSTERN. Now I want to know more.....

Well designed site - I wish more cemeteries could provide this type of service. I look forward to checking this site when more information has been entered. I am looking for OVERETT(E) and FRENCH (which you have entries for) and BUSBRIDGE. Possibly also GOULD, HORSLEY, and OXLEY (which you also have entries for). Also, as one other person mentioned, it would be nice to have a little more information on the cemetery itself (i.e., where it is located).

Well done on such a wonderful project. I found my CANNELL who I knew was there but when I visited the cemetery in 1990 it was not a nice place to be so we didn't find the grave. At least now I can find who else was buried there. Keep up the good work.

Great to see a service offered gratuitously. But what do I learn from it? I got in by tracking the name Viccars and see you have a burial by that name. My Viccars married a gavin in Manchester in about 1850. How can I use your entry to get further info? I'm not quite sure how just yet, but I feel your offering must have some good to it. I have come direct to the message line, so I'll go back now and try to find our more about it all. Thanks.

I have found three surname hits here. Brooks, Harding and Griffiths. This is wonderful! What a great site. I am interested in more information, if possible. What should I do next? I am looking for Eliza Griffiths, died Dec. 2, 1929. She was married to Thomas Griffiths, died april 6, 1929. I was told she was buried in Abbey Park Cemetery - not sure if they meant Abney Park or Abbey Park. Is there an Abbey Park you are aware of? Also looking for their daughter, Ann Harding - no dates available. She was married to Thomas Harding, died aug 10, 1939. Looking for him as well. I plan to visit England on Wed. Nov. 12, 1997. Would appreciate some sort of response by then, if at all possible, so I know if I would have any luck if I were to stop by next week. Thanks so much. Stacy

I searched my last name on the WWW and found two interseting entries. One was a rare book store in London that had a book written in the eighteenth century on Freemasonry by a ROZEA. The other was this site showing a London burial of 2 Rozeas. Wonder if this is the Author? I did not even know of a London contingent of my ancestry. More work to follow! Any chance of obtaining the details of this Rozea burial site??

As an ABNEY descendant, I am thrilled to find this site in the works. I was disappointed, however, not to find any Historical references to the cemetery itself, nor any links to the Abney Park Cemetery Trust . I am interested in history of the area, Dr. Watt's, and the Abney House. Any correspondence with relation to these, or any other ABNEY links are welcomed. I congratulate and support you in your efforts, and volunteer my assistance in what ever way would be helpful. Best Regards, Gina Abney

Found your site just experimenting for purposes of genealogy. Found 11 Seddon's and 6 Hallard's listed, but wonder how to get more information on them. You must have put a lot of work into all this, and I guess you have a lot more to do yet. My family origins are from Liverpool , going back to 1847 up to now, but wonder where they may have been from originally. I know the name Hallard is of continental Europe origin, so they may have migrated through the south of England to Lancashire. Thanks for your work. Brian Seddon. PS. Did not fill in URL, as being new to the net I do not know what it stands for.

Although there are not many of us around to find, the uniqueness of the name gives the hope that there is a tenuous link with other Whitears, wherever they may be. On of the few facts I had was hat the family moved to Hornsey from Devon in the nineteenth century. Looks like we have a hot lead here in Abney Park ! Any WHITEARS out there please drop me a line.
