These two men are buried at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Lamar Co., Alabama. Please e-mail Greg . He has photos of their tombstones which say they were in Co. K 16th Alabama CSA.

Elijah H. McDonald 1834-1863 Serg. Co. K 16th Alabama Vol CSA

Thomas M. Woods 1844-1927 Co. K 16th Alabama Infantry 1861-1865

The following 4 men are buried at Marietta Confederate Cemetery in Cobb Co., GA. The information was taken right off of their graves when they were dug up or when they were wounded at the battle sites, which may have mistakes T.E. Lyle is collecting information on these men to compile a booklet about the cemetery.T.E.Lyle

Brown, John-Company K, 16th Alabama --May be John A. Brown or John R. Brown listed in Rosters

Cheny, R. 16th Alabama---Not listed in above Rosters

McGaughy or McGaughey, J. H., Major- 16h Alabama--Listed in Rosters as Lt. Colonel

Payne, Thomas-Co. E. 16th Alabama---there is a Thomas "Tom" J. Payne in Co. F but not sure if this is him.

According to the National Park Service-Civil War Soldiers and Sailors database at www.itd.nps.gov/cwss/soldiers.htm, Augustus W. and his brother, Oliver Casey both were members of the 16th Infantry, Company F. Oliver Casey died at the Battle of Shiloh and is not listed in the Co. F rosters. -- Please contact Lisa Perry
