My former wife's ancestry is Pennsylvania German. My mother's ancestry is Pennsylvania German except for one Welsh line. My father's parents were German immigrants to New York City. My daughter-in-law's ancestry is more varied, being apparently late nineteenth and early twentieth century arrivals from Ireland, England, Germany, and Greece, although most of the immigrant ancestors have not been located yet.

The Pennsylvania German ancestry is largely from Berks and Schuylkill Counties.
