This is the Castlemellon Public Elementary School. These photos were taken in 1992. By this time the school was already closed down and the windows and doors had been covered with corrugated iron - though it appeared to have been
recently painted, so was being looked after.

Castlemellon School was demolished in March 2004 to make way for a new development. It was a sad week for the local people and old school pupils.
