Tioga County, New York, Selected Marriages, 1908-1929

In August 2006, I spent a pleasant sunny morning in the Tioga County Clerk's office in Owego, New York. I photographed every instance I could find of surnames I'm researching in the Marriage Record Books. In the process, I also photographed quite a few partial to complete adjacent entries. I ended up with a total of 120 records from the marriage books, from 1908 to 1929. This is only a small percentage of all the marriages recorded in those books, but I wanted to index and document these online because if your relative happens to be listed, it will be useful.

Alphabetical by groom's last name.
Alphabetical by bride's last name.
Chronological by recorded number - This list can be useful to estimate the marriage date, because the recorded number is the chronological order of entry into the marriage books.

Please note that the images are all 2048 x1536 and about 600-750 KB each. If you have a dial-up connection they may load slowly, but they are high resolution, very readable and should print well.

The primary names I'm researching from these records are Short, Nichols, Tennant, Tripp, Burlingame, and Hosmer. Other surnames are likely to be incomplete records.
