Note regarding Registrar For some reason I am unable to determine the initial of the registrar. In some instances it looks like it could possibly be M, on others a short version of Alex. But in no case am I certain. I have one thing to say to his credit, he is consistent, there are over 1500 births in this district, and all I can be sure of is his surname, Leask.
Also, his capital L, F, T and S certainly look alike. In instances where I have been unsure of a letter (indicated [?]) it could be one of these.

Suttie was the name expected by the person who requested the entry, Lootie is how I transcribed it (not knowing what was expected), the IGI has Sootie. I would now say the entry says Sootie, given my note above regarding the similarity of the letters L & S (& F & T) on this film.
